Our Vision

At Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter (NCAS) and Adoption Center we strive for a future where our citizens are responsible guardians and all animals live in a safe environment, thereby putting an end to abandoned, neglected and abused animals. All animals deserve a chance with a loving family of their very own.

We directly support NCAS and the community by providing funding and support for programs including:

  • Pet food distribution
  • Hispanic outreach
  • Community adoption events and promotions
  • Medical emergency fund
  • Volunteer program

Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Chickens, Hamsters, and Birds

Please come meet us! We all need love and a forever home.

Our Mission

Friends of the Napa County Animal Shelter is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our animals in Napa County by developing, funding and managing programs to assist with adoption and lifetime care, provide community education, and to promote volunteer opportunities.

Featured Adoptable: Callie

My name is Callie, and I’m a 9 year old, 9 lb., tortie calico gal. It’s been a rough couple of months. You see, my pet parents had to surrender me because they lost their home. I know they did it out of love, but it’s been hard to adjust to shelter life. I was an indoor kitty and their one and only. I would prefer that again and with no children please. My mom said I was calm, vocal, affectionate, and playful. She would take me to the vet for grooming and to get my nails trimmed on a regular basis. I liked that. My days were filled with walking around the house, looking for a sunny spot to sleep, with lots of love and affection. At the shelter the sadness of my situation shows, so I come across as a very shy kitty, which doesn’t help with getting adopted. If you have room in your heart and the patience to bring me back out of my shell, I know I’ll return to the loving sweetheart I was before I landed here. Come ask for me by name at the Napa County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center!
