Our Vision

At Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter (NCAS) and Adoption Center we strive for a future where our citizens are responsible guardians and all animals live in a safe environment, thereby putting an end to abandoned, neglected and abused animals. All animals deserve a chance with a loving family of their very own.

We directly support NCAS and the community by providing funding and support for programs including:

  • Pet food distribution
  • Hispanic outreach
  • Community adoption events and promotions
  • Medical emergency fund
  • Volunteer program

Our Mission

Friends of the Napa County Animal Shelter is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our animals in Napa County by developing, funding and managing programs to assist with adoption and lifetime care, provide community education, and to promote volunteer opportunities.

Featured Adoptable: Marley

Hi. I’m Marley and I hope to be your new best friend. I’m quiet and reserved. I am also kid friendly. I have been working on my leash socialization skills with volunteers at the shelter. I can be grouchy when approached inappropriately by other dogs while on a leash. When asked to sit and watch me (attention being re-directed by volunteers) while other dogs pass, I do just fine. I will need a consistent leader who would be willing to work with me on this. I have walked together with calm dogs at the shelter and done perfectly fine too. I’m food motivated and would love to go to training classes. It would be a great bonding experience for me and my new person. Are you up for some fun and continued training? Please come ask for Marley!
